AdWords Updates From Around the Web
Although a short month, February saw quite a bit of action on the AdWords front. We saw the introduction of Shopping Campaigns as well as a big change in conversion tracking. This month, we’re also incorporating some additional sources of information as well as some information on Analytics.
New Features & Updates:
A New way to count conversions in AdWords – Inside AdWords
Google has made a change to how conversions are tracked and reported. Make sure to double check the documentation and ensure that your conversions are still tracking as you would like. – AdWords Help Center Docs
Shopping campaigns now available to all advertisers around the world – Inside AdWords
It’s no secret at this point that Google AdWords Shopping Campaigns offer a significant improvement over PLA campaigns. The great news is this campaign type is now available globally to all advertisers. – AdWords Help Center Docs
Updates to ads on Google Maps – Google Ads G+
Google has made some alterations to the way they’re displaying ads on Google Maps.
Google Sunsets the AdWords Dropdown Beta Extension on Desktop – Philly Marketing Labs Blog
Google was testing a dropdown ad extension for quite a while and we recently found out that this option was no longer available.
You are now able to set a minimum or maximum CPC bid on your Target CPA strategy – Google Ads G+
If you’re making use of AdWords automated bidding strategies, this may be a bit of good news. More bidding options are now available.
New conversion statistics and device-specific insights in the top movers report – Google Ads G+
The Top Movers report in AdWords has been a work in progress for some time now. This most recent addition, incorporating conversions, is a great one.
Device and time period segments now available for competitive metrics in Auction insights – Google Ads G+
