It’s that time of year again! Shopify recently dropped their Winter ‘24 Updates with over 100 new features. We are always looking for solutions to tackle the pain points our clients face across e-commerce and digital marketing, so we were excited to dive in and learn more!

Here are a few exciting updates our dev team wants you to know about:

Bundling & Discounts -Bundling and discounting have gotten a whole lot easier! Now Shopify allows up to 30 products per bundle. Discount possibilities are endless. Stacking free shipping, a fixed amount off, and buying X get Y – all conveniently displayed in the cart view! You can now stack discounts to preferred and new customers, leading to increased sales volume and conversion rates.

 

One-Page Checkout– Customers can say goodbye to lengthy checkout processes and hello to higher conversion rates! With Shopify’s Checkout Sheet Kit, customers can breeze through checkout in less than 4 minutes. This fully customizable, one-page checkout preserves your store branding, UI extensions, and functions, and ensures a seamless branding shopping experience.

 

Custom Dashboards – Dive deeper into your store’s performance with custom dashboards. You can gain valuable insights into your store’s Core Web Vitals, directly from real user interactions. Optimize user experience using the same metrics Google relies on.

Here’s what got our media team excited:

Stronger retargeting for ads– With the Audiences V2.2 release, the size of retargeting audiences doubled with Retargeting Boost lists (previously known as High Intent). Plus prospecting audiences (previously named Mid intent) are now even more effective. Added functionality to the benchmarking dashboard makes comparing ad performance against industry standards and similar stores a breeze.

 

Shop campaigns-  The Shop app, available on mobile and web – and soon expanding to Meta and Google – has been a game changer for brands worldwide. Growth is a no-brainer with a fixed cost per acquisition and cutting-edge features like product recommendations and real-time order tracking. 

 

Reviews- The update includes integrated reviews from supported partner apps. These reviews can be integrated and displayed on search engines like Google and social channels.  These reviews help build trust with your consumers and help them make more informed purchase decisions.
